Please read these terms carefully before using Wyzie Subs.
Last updated: April 30, 2026
By accessing or using the Wyzie Subs API, this website, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you must not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including free-plan users, paid subscribers, and anyone accessing the Service on behalf of a company or other legal entity.
Wyzie Subs is a subtitle search API that provides programmatic access to subtitle data from third-party providers. We offer a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. Access to the Service is granted via an API key issued upon successful registration or purchase. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time without notice.
Your API key is your sole means of authenticating with the Service. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your API key. Wyzie bears no responsibility whatsoever for:
We display your API key once at the time of issuance. We strongly recommend saving it immediately in a secure location. If you lose your API key, you may contact support to have it regenerated; however, any remaining request balance associated with the original key will be forfeited. We will not compensate for lost balances resulting from a misplaced or regenerated API key.
Paid access to Wyzie Subs is available via a one-time Pro plan purchase and optional request top-ups. By completing a purchase you agree to the following:
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds under any circumstances, including but not limited to: change of mind, failure to use purchased request credits, accidental purchases, or dissatisfaction with the Service. Because our product is a digital service and API keys or request credits are delivered immediately upon payment confirmation, there is no ability to "return" the product. In the event of significant service downtime or confirmed technical failures attributable solely to Wyzie's infrastructure, we may, at our sole discretion, provide compensation in the form of additional request credits. Such compensation is not guaranteed and does not constitute an exception to this no-refund policy. If you believe you are entitled to a chargeback through your payment provider, please contact us first at [email protected] Initiating a fraudulent or bad-faith chargeback may result in permanent suspension of your API key without compensation.
Free plan users are limited to 1,000 requests per UTC day. Phone-verified free users retain the same daily cap with stable access; phone numbers are stored only in hashed form (SHA-256) and used solely to enforce one-key-per-person on the free tier. Pro plan users receive the included request bundle as stated at the time of purchase, with no daily cap. Once your request balance is exhausted, API calls will be rejected until you purchase a top-up - unless you have enabled auto top-up, in which case we will attempt to charge your saved payment method automatically (subject to your spend cap, if any). Wyzie will email a low-balance warning at 80% utilization and a depletion notice at 100% to the email address on file. Unused request credits do not expire unless your API key is regenerated or your account is suspended for a violation of these Terms.
During phased rollouts of pricing or rate-limiting changes (including the introduction of API keys to a previously-unauthenticated endpoint), Wyzie may temporarily inject a single short notice line at the start of subtitle responses to inform downstream applications of the upcoming change. Such notices are time-limited, do not contain advertising, and are removed before the change is enforced. By continuing to use the Service during a transition window, you accept these notices as part of normal Service operation.
You agree not to use the Service in any way that:
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently revoke any API key that we determine, in our sole discretion, is being used in violation of these Terms. No refund will be issued upon suspension or termination for cause.
The Service relies on third-party subtitle providers, payment processors (Stripe, NOWPayments), phone verification providers, and infrastructure services (Cloudflare). Wyzie does not control these third parties and is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or conduct. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not liable for any losses arising from the acts or omissions of third-party services.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or availability of subtitle data returned by the API, as this data is sourced from third-party providers outside our control.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WYZIE AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Wyzie and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. By using the Service, you consent to personal jurisdiction in the United States. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties for a period of thirty (30) days. If the dispute remains unresolved, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). The seat, or legal place, of arbitration shall be New York, New York, USA and the arbitration proceeding shall be held in New York, New York, USA; provided that the Parties may agree in writing to conduct individual hearings in other locations. The proceedings will be conducted in the English language, with any resulting award being final and enforceable in any court of competent jurisdiction. You agree that all proceedings shall be conducted on an individual basis; you expressly waive any right to participate in a class action, consolidated arbitration, or any other representative proceeding.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this minimum age requirement. If you are a minor in your jurisdiction, you represent that you have obtained verifiable parental or guardian consent. We do not knowingly permit individuals under the age of 13 to register for or access the Service. If we become aware that a user is under 13, we will immediately disable their access and delete any associated personal data.
All content, trademarks, logos, software, and other intellectual property on this website and in the Service are the exclusive property of Wyzie or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service solely for its intended purpose and in accordance with these Terms. Subtitle data returned by the API originates from third-party providers; we make no claim of ownership over such data and provide no warranty as to its accuracy or licensing status. You may not reproduce, redistribute, resell, or sublicense access to the Service or its API responses in any manner not expressly permitted by these Terms.
Wyzie shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of the Service resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, war, civil unrest, terrorism, government action, changes in law, internet or telecommunications outages, third-party infrastructure failures (including Cloudflare, Stripe, NOWPayments, or any other service provider), power failures, or any other event outside our reasonable control. Our obligations under these Terms are suspended for the duration of such an event and we will use reasonable efforts to resume normal service as promptly as practicable.
If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed from the Terms entirely if modification is not possible. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.
No failure or delay by Wyzie in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms shall operate as a waiver of that right or remedy, nor shall any single or partial exercise preclude any further or other exercise of the same or any other right or remedy. A waiver of any breach shall not constitute a waiver of any subsequent or continuing breach.
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Wyzie with respect to your use of the Service. They supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, representations, warranties, and understandings, whether oral or written, relating to the subject matter hereof. No amendment to these Terms shall be binding unless made in writing and posted on this website.
You may not assign or transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms, including your API key, to any third party without our prior written consent. Any attempted assignment in violation of this section is null and void. Wyzie may freely assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms to any successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of its assets, and your continued use of the Service following such assignment constitutes your acceptance.
